Since Rex Bushman graduated from the J. Reuben Clark Law School and passed the Utah State Bar exam in 1978 he has performed legal services for contested and uncontested divorce. Presently Rex provides divorce work for contested divorce matters which include issues of division of equity of real estate, division of marital assets, custody of minor children, support for the minor children, alimony and temporary support pending resolution of the marital estate by way of divorce decree.

Rex can vigorously represent the interests of the marital provider who will have concerns of minimizing support obligations and sometimes be seeking the custody of one or all of the minor children of the parties. Favorable division of estate real property and assets will be facilitated. Rex has studied the art of negotiations and has effectively resolved even the most difficult of matters where no agreement seems within the grasp of the parties. Often the communication of counsel to the opposing counsel enlightens the opposing party with facts and information necessary to bring the opposition to agreement for ultimate resolution of the estate.

Rex can equally represent the homemaker of the divorce who will have concerns for obtaining adequate alimony and child support necessary to maintain the household without the income of the primary provider. Division of personal property of the marital estate and the marital residence or continuing maintenance thereof will be facilitated. Temporary support between the time the divorce complaint is filed and served upon the provider and the time that a divorce decree is entered will assist the client in maintaining the marital residence and maintenance of the family while the divorce case is proceeding to resolution.

For either client, Rex will proceed upon request, to immediately prepare and serve pleadings necessary to commence the divorce case and continue to communicate with the client and aggressively prosecute the matter to successful completion in a timely and efficient manner without undue delay.
